Oil Painters of America
Members of the Oil Painters of America enhance their work through educational opportunities.
Since its inception in 1991, the Oil Painters of America has grown to more than 4,000 artist members from the United States, Canada and Mexico. The organization has been an advocate for representational artwork since day one, by connecting its members with educational opportunities such as critiques, workshops and more. It also has created platforms for the artists to exhibit their work in yearly national, regional and salon exhibitions. This continued promotion has allowed artists to build their reputations around the country.
OPA’S members—designated as Associate, Signature and Master Signature statuses— are at various points in their career, allowing the group to be diverse and effective for nurturing the next generation of artists. Among its members is Romagean Vannoy Personne, whose recent trip to Florida inspired her series of the state’s 29 lighthouses.
