The Cheyenne Fron­tier Days Western Art Show fea­tures top Western artists pre­sent­ing orig­i­nal art that cel­e­brates the her­itage and the fu­ture of the Amer­i­can West. Over the past 38 years, this high-cal­iber art show has be­come the Cheyenne Fron­tier Days Old West Mu­seum’s largest fundraiser, sup­port­ing arts ed­u­ca­tion, ex­hibits, col­lec­tions and op­er­a­tions. The art it­self rep­re­sents a broad range of medi­ums, from tra­di­tional oils, pas­tels and bronzes to py­rog­ra­phy, chain­saw sculp­tures and in­tri­cate glass and wood cre­ations. More than 60 artists, both tra­di­tional and con­tem­po­rary, are fea­tured in this show.

For the 2018 show, Cheyenne Fron­tier Days will wel­come nine new artists: Lisa Gor­don, Susie Hyer, Robert Mcfar­land, Au­drie Mergel­man, James Moore, Mary Lou Pape, Sab­rina Stiles, Car­rie Wild and Dan Young. The 2018 of­fi­cial CFD Western Art Show print is Win­ter Blues by Matt Wolf of Utah. Guests can pur­chase this lim­ited edi­tion print as ei­ther a pa­per print or a can­vas trans­fer print. The 2018 of­fi­cial CFD Western Art Show poster fea­tures Rodeo Icon by Don Weller. The CFD Western Art Show hosts its open­ing re­cep­tion on July 19. The art show will be on dis­play un­til Au­gust 19.
