Our next is­sue of Western Art Col­lec­tor will be is­sue num­ber 132. What does that mean? It means that we’ve been pub­lish­ing this mag­a­zine ev­ery sin­gle month for the past 11 years! We are in­cred­i­bly proud of the fact that we are the only monthly mag­a­zine that cov­ers the en­tire mar­ket for Western art, his­toric and con­tem­po­rary, in a way that has never been done be­fore.

A lot has changed in the pub­lish­ing world since that time. But one thing that hasn’t changed is that fact that Western Art Col­lec­tor is a col­lec­tor­driven mag­a­zine and we pride our­selves in know­ing that the best col­lec­tors of con­tem­po­rary and his­toric art read this mag­a­zine on a monthly ba­sis and use it to help them ac­quire art for their col­lec­tions.

How do we know this? Sim­ple. Our clients tell us.

Just re­cently Maron Hind­man from Les­lie Hind­man in Den­ver reached out to us. This is what he said. “We know that our clients are pay­ing at­ten­tion when we ad­ver­tise in Western Art Col­lec­tor. As a na­tional fine art auc­tion house with an Arts of the Amer­i­can West cat­e­gory, we re­ceive sev­eral in­quiries from both buy­ers and sell­ers each time we run ad­ver­tis­ing in the pub­li­ca­tion. Leg­endary Western gallery owner Stu­art John­son also en­joys ad­ver­tis­ing in the mag­a­zine be­cause of the re­sults-driven fo­cus that has been con­sis­tent in the mag­a­zine since is­sue num­ber one.

“The mag­a­zine suc­ceeds at put­ting things to the fore­front for col­lec­tors, par­tic­u­larly things that haven’t hap­pened yet,” John­son re­cently told us. “When they see them in the mag­a­zine, it re­ally shows and en­cour­ages them to go to the shows and view the art. That’s very rel­e­vant and im­por­tant to us.”

It’s rel­e­vant and im­por­tant to us as well and that is what mo­ti­vates us to keep cre­at­ing this mag­a­zine. And that is our goal as it has been since day one. A mag­a­zine that con­nects the best col­lec­tors across the coun­try with the best galleries to help them find new work for their col­lec­tions.

And it warms our heart know­ing that this still hap­pens. Year af­ter year. Is­sue af­ter is­sue.
