Western Art Collector

Moving Forward

- Wendie Martin & Adolfo Castillo Publishers

Welcome to our December issue! This issue wraps up 2020, the year of the #newnorm in art buying, as well as everything else in the world. We look forward to 2021, and we’re hopeful of fully gaining back the momentum that we had coming into the year—we want to travel, go to events, visit museums and meet artists. We are here to tell you that art buying is on the rise. As we close 2020, collectors are still collecting and our galleries and auctions are selling artwork at record prices. People want art in their life and Western Art Collector is the bridge to this.

As we close out 2020, we want to take a moment to thank you—our subscribers for your loyalty to the collecting of Western art and your positive feedback of what we are doing each month with Western Art Collector. Everything we do is about bringing our readers the best content related to the market. And the editorial team prides itself on bringing you the best stories, stories that speak to the heart of Western art. For example, this issue you will read an article from deputy editor Michael Clawson, who joined the Cowboy Artists of America for their annual trail ride, held on the Spade Ranch in the Texas Panhandle. He was right there with some of the legends of Western art, getting information for you directly from the source.

Elsewhere in the magazine, you will read about live and in-person events all around the country. We want you to stay informed, no matter where you are. As events become live again, we are here to provide inspiration on where to go and what to do as you plan your year. Please see our event calendar for ideas, and check out our many new features and previews in this issue. We hope to see you at one of the upcoming events.

Happy Holidays to you and your family! Thank you for being part of ours. We look forward to 2021 and educating, previewing, spotlighting and featuring all of the best shows and events in the West, and then help you procure new artwork for your collection.

Sincerely,
