Pastel Society of New Mexico kicks off the 30th national exhibition in Taos, New Mexico.

Marking its 30th national exhibition, the Pastel Society of New Mexico is currently celebratin­g the medium of pastel at the Millicent Rogers Museum in Taos, New Mexico. The hybrid live and virtual show opened August 5 and continues through September 21.

The live portion of the show will take place at the

Taos musuem, while the virtual component will take place at www.pastelsnm.org. The live exhibition will feature 66 paintings and the virtual show will have those same 66 works, but also an additional 45 works only available on the website.

The Pastel Society of New Mexico was founded in 1989 and has shown artwork all around New Mexico, even as artwork from the shows is dispersed around the country and world as more and more collectors participat­e in the group’s exhibition­s.
