May Lane Andrews
May Lane (Campbell) Andrews, 80, died Monday, Feb. 6, 2017, at the Highlands Health and Rehab Facility in Bella Vista.
She was born to Harry S. and Minnie J. ( Wilson) Campbell on Jan. 15, 1937, in Helena. She married Levert Andrews at the Gum Springs Baptist Church on Feb. 22, 1953. She worked on a farm near Gentry, raising chickens, tending cattle and raising a large garden. She was of the Christian Faith and served as a Sunday school teacher, a deacon’s wife and an active soul winner. She loved to sing, especially solos in church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a half brother, Luther; and two half sisters, Kathleen and Evelyn; two brothersin-law, Evert and Oran Lee; and one sister-in-law, Lucile.
She is survived by her husband of almost 64 years, Levert; two children, Sandra (Andrews) Brandon and husband Hershel from Gravette, and Robert Andrews and wife Teddie (Powers) Andrews from Gentry; one foster child, Amy Ross Johnson and husband Willis of Alabama; eight grandchildren, Kimberly (Brandon) Lashley and husband Jason, Christopher Brandon and wife Sumer, Megan (Andrews) Denison and husband Michael, Russell Andrews and wife Brittany, Justin Mackey and wife Robyn, Stephen, Elisabeth and Mathew Johnson; 10 great-grandchildren, Georgia Lashley, Reigan Lutz, Ayden and Christian Brandon, Ramsey, Ryder and Reagan Andrews, Sophia and Theo Denison and Nehemiah Mackey; one brother, Harry D. Campbell and wife Mary of Little Rock; and two sistersin-law, Marcellies Rheam and Lorene Andrews.
Funeral services were held at the BackstromPyeatte Funeral Home Chapel on Feb. 14, with Craig Ingram officiating. Burial followed at the Wedington Cemetery. Arrangements were by BackstromPyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.
