Northwest Health Occupation­al Medicine now open

A full-service occupation­al medicine clinic is now open inside Siloam Springs Medical Plaza. Located at 3721 E. U.S. 412 Hwy. in Siloam Springs. Northwest Health Occupation­al Medicine opened its doors for business on Feb. 20.

Business hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Sa t u rd a y, with afterhour services available at Siloam Springs Regional Hospital Emergency Department. Clinic and hospital staff will work closely with employers to ensure workers receive the care they need 24/7.

Offering comprehens­ive services for all employee health needs, the focused clinic is dedicated to promoting and protecting the health of workers in the community. Services include physical exams, injury care, health screenings, prevention and education.

“In response to flourishin­g community growth, we look forward to this expansion of services that addresses employee health needs. We’re very fortunate to have Dr. Janan Lane join our medical staff and be a part of the occupation­al medicine team,” said Siloam Springs Regional Hospital CEO Patrick Kerrwood. “Her experience and expertise are invaluable to our community and its employers. She brings a high level of care to our clinic that we are excited to share with the community.”

Janan Lane, D.O., is a wellrespec­ted physician who brings more than 33 years of experience treating patients for a variety of conditions in a multitude of settings. Residency trained and board certified in family medicine since 1987, her areas of in- terest include occupation­al medicine, primary care and wellness. Her focus and expertise in occupation­al medicine includes her most recent practice at Concentra Medical Center in Tulsa, Okla., for the past 16 years prior to relocation to Northwest Health Occupation­al Medicine in January of 2017. Her undergradu­ate education includes the University of Oklahoma and University of Arkansas, followed by Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathi­c Medicine. Post graduate training included residency at Davenport Medical Center in Iowa. She is board certified with the American College of Osteopathi­c Family Physicians and is licensed in Oklahoma, Missouri and Arkansas. She is a member of the American Osteopathi­c Associatio­n and American College of Osteopathi­c Family Physicians. Her manage- ment style in occupation­al medicine is a functional approach to recovery with a rapid return to work philosophy that promotes efficient case closure.

Going beyond physical exams, drug tests and injury treatment, the clinic’s team is committed to helping companies control and manage health-related business expenses while offering employees the care they need when they need it.

“One of my goals as an occupation­al medicine physician is to help protect employees, whether it’s by identifyin­g potential health problems, treating injuries or going on site to learn about their jobs and how they can stay safe and healthy,” Dr. Lane said. “In occupation­al medicine, we really look at the whole spectrum of wellness for workers and are committed to helping employees stay on the job.”
