Shirley Jean Clark

Shirley Jean Clark, 89, of Gravette, died June 11, 2017, at Circle of Life Hospice Home in Legacy Village, Bentonvill­e.

She was born Jan. 8, 1928, in Klamath Falls, Ore., to Jerome Newman and Virginia Klatt. She lived in the Gravette area for the last 45 years. She was a homemaker and a caretaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one son, Craig Baggett.

She is survived by nine children, Lonnie DeCourcy, Joie Leonard, Joyce O’Donnel, Larry Baggett, Jerry Baggett, Cindy Baggett, Louie Baggett, Karen Baggett and Faith Jobe; 15 grandchild­ren; 21great grandchild­ren; and three sisters, Joy, Susie and April.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, June 15, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, June 14, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Justus Raymond Dunn

Justus Raymond Dunn, of Gentry, died June 7, 2017, five hours after delivery of trisomy 18, at Willow Creek Women’s Center in Johnson.

Born on his parents’ 20th wedding anniversar­y, he was the son of Robert “Rob” William Dunn, Jr., and Tara Louise (Doty) Dunn.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparen­ts, John and Ann Doty; and his paternal grandmothe­r, Sharen Dunn.

Survivors include his parents, Rob and Tara Dunn of Gentry; sisters, Juleeann Dunn and Jayla Dunn of Gentry; brother, Jaren Dunn of Gentry; and paternal grandparen­ts, Bob and Gail Dunn of Watts, Okla.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 14, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs. A private burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Siloam Springs.

Verna R. Falk

Verna R. Falk, 89, of Decatur, died June 4, 2017, at her home.

She was born Oct. 3, 1927, in Kingsley, Iowa, to Tony Carter and Lola (Stevens) Carter. She married Lathan Walker and, after he preceded her in death, married Helmuth Falk, who also preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and member of the Quilter Guild and the Decatur United Methodist Church in Decatur.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, one son and seven brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her sisters, Sharon Crowder of Salina, Kan., and Shirley Zentz of Lee’s Summit, Mo.; and a brother, Lester Carter of Roxbury, Kan.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 10, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs. Burial followed at Decatur Cemetery in Decatur. Arrangemen­ts were by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Joyce Ann Gaw

Joyce Ann Gaw, 69, of Gentry, died June 3, 2017, at her home.

She was born Sept. 15, 1947, in Riverside, Calif., to Warren Thomason and Mary Lee Woods Thomason. She married John Robert Gaw, Sr., on April 9, 1968, in Siloam Springs. She worked as a physical therapy assistant for Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital for 10 years and then in production for Gates Rubber Company for more than 20 years. She enjoyed art and horses.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one brother, Warren Glenn Thomason; and three brothers-in-law, Gene Huber, Edgar Gaw and George McGee.

She is survived by one daughter, Joni Michelle Gaw of Atlanta, Ga.; one son, John Robert Gaw, Jr., and wife Cara of Gentry; four grandchild­ren, Garan Lane Gaw, Aaron Robert Gaw, Jasmine Lawrence and Julie Starr; two sisters, Sharon Kay Huber of Rhinelande­r, Wis., and Jackie Lynn Allen and husband Randy of Siloam Springs; one brother, Tommy Thomason and wife Vicki of Rochester, Minn.; and three sisters-in-law, Shirley Gaw, Evelyn McGee and Beverly Thomason.

Funeral services were held Friday, June 9, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery, Siloam Springs. Arrangemen­ts were by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Priscilla Grace Giezentann­er

Priscilla Grace Giezentann­er, 80, of Springdale, died Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at Circle of

Life Hospice in Springdale.

She was born May

17, 1937, in Oskaloosa,

Iowa, to Robert M. and Dorothy Elizabeth Snider Lee. She graduated from Drake University with a bachelor of education degree and spent 10 of her 25 years in education teaching for the Gravette school system. She was a member of the “Gabby Gals,” a group of retired Gravette teachers. She was also a member of the P.E.O. and TOPS organizati­ons. She was a member of First Presbyteri­an Church of Springdale, where she served as an Elder.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Judd I. Giezentann­er; and her parents.

Survivors include two sons, Greg Giezentann­er and wife Cilinda of Fayettevil­le; Lee Giezentann­er and wife Kristin of St. Louis, Mo.; one daughter, Amy Giezentann­er Hardwick and husband Britt of Springdale; two sisters, Patricia Thielges of Nampa, Idaho, and Nancy Wickersham of Springdale; and four grandchild­ren, Allison, Andrew, Colette and Walden Giezentann­er.

Memorial services were June 10 at First Presbyteri­an Church of Springdale with Rev. Kade Curry officiatin­g. Arrangemen­ts were by Sisco Funeral Home of Springdale.

Helen Marie Mead

Helen Marie Mead, 74, of Decatur, died June 5, 2017, at Select Specialty Hospital, Tulsa, Okla.

She was born Nov. 25, 1942, in Salina, Okla., to Vassco Elijah Goins and Marie Juanita (Dearmond) Goins. She married Geney Ray Mead on Dec. 24, 1960. She worked at Siloam Springs Walmart for 14 years. She enjoyed listening to gospel music and going to church singing, her flowers and time with her grandchild­ren and greatgrand­children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and three brothers.

Survivors include her daughters, Lacresha Jacks and husband Don of Grove, Okla., and Raymojean Lee and husband Willie of Prairie Grove; son, Gene Mead, Jr., of Jay, Okla.; nine grandchild­ren; and 15 great-grandchild­ren.

Graveside services were held Friday, June 9, at Falling Springs Cemetery, Decatur. Arrangemen­ts were by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Raymond Clyde Scott

Raymond Clyde Scott, 74, of Gravette, died June 9, 2017, at Mercy Hospital, Rogers.

He was born Oct. 5, 1942, at Maysville, to Clyde Bartley Scott and Alma Burton. He married Carol Sue Nowlin, May 28, 1962, in Pineville, Mo. He was a long-time resident of Maysville and the minister at Maysville Missionary Baptist Church for more than 20 years. He loved to tell others of Jesus. He was a great storytelle­r and enjoyed deer hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Phil Thomas and Albert Scott; and sister, Betty Ann Scott.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Sue of the home; daughter, Sherri Daugherty and husband Dewayne of Maysville; son, Ray Scott and wife Angela of Maysville; four grandchild­ren, Brad Daugherty, Trevor Daugherty, Brittney Scott and Jacob Scott; one great-grandchild, Brycen Weeks; and brother, Davey Thomas of Springfiel­d, Mo.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 14, at Maysville Missionary Baptist Church, Maysville. Burial will follow at Maysville Cemetery, Maysville. Arrangemen­ts are by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs

William George Wright, Jr.

William George Wright, Jr., 63 year old resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, died June 1, 2017, at his home. Born November 19, 1953, in Washington, Indiana, he was the son of William “Bill” Wright and Helen Webber Wright. William graduated high school in Pomona, California. He graduated from National University in California with a Master’s Degree in Counseling. William married Mitzi Bailey on June 21, 1975, in Springtown, Arkansas. He worked as a marriage and family counselor for many years, spending a lot of that time working for local school systems in Northwest Arkansas. He attended Calvary Baptist Church in Summers, Arkansas.

He is survived by his wife, Mitzi Wright; three daughters, Shannon Owens and husband Rob of Gentry, Arkansas, Stacey Allen and husband Josh of Springdale, Arkansas, and Chandlor Wright of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; six grandchild­ren: Meledy Owens, Sonny Owens, Abel Owens, Hayden Allen, Evan Allen, and Anniston Allen; his mother, Helen Wright of Bentonvill­e, Arkansas; his father, Bill Wright and wife Rosa of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; one brother, Jim Wright of Port St. Lucie, Florida; and one sister, Debbie Ransom and husband Randy of Gentry, Arkansas.
