Doris Jean Elliott Jessen
Doris Jean Elliott Jessen, 64, of Highfill, Ark., died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Ark.
She was born July 8, 1953, at Siloam Springs, Ark., to Lonzo Elliott and Bonnie Littrell Elliott. She married James “Jim” Jessen on March 13, 1976, at the Highfill Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Gentry High School and a lifelong resident of Highfill.
She worked for Bemco Inc. in Centerton, Ark., for 36 years, retiring as lead supervisor over the handbuilt department in November 2016. She was a member of the Highfill Methodist Church, where she served as church treasurer. She enjoyed planning holiday celebrations for family and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Wanda Elliott.
She is survived by her husband; three children, Jc Jessen and wife Heather of Centerton, Jeannie Jones and husband Bill of Cassville, Mo., and James Jessen and wife Janelle of Decatur, Ark.; six grandchildren, Jessica Sherman and husband Vernon of Bentonville, Abby and Jaycee Jessen of Centerton, and Emily, Isaac and Adriana Jessen of Decatur; one great-grandchild, Maya Sherman, of Bentonville; a twin sister, Deloris Jay of Decatur; two brothers, Paul Elliott and wife Barbara of Hindsville, Ark., and Robert Elliott and wife Sharon, of Kansas, Okla.; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, Ark.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, at the Highfill Methodist Church with Pastor Russ Hall officiating. Burial will follow at the Highfill Cemetery.

Barbara D. Holt
Barbara D. Holt, 78, of Gentry, died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017, at her home.
She was born Feb. 14, 1939, in Detroit, Mich., to Ted and Lucille
Lewis Rogers. She was a homemaker and a former member of Wiggins Memorial United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening and raising flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John Clayton Rogers.
She is survived by her husband, Charles “Wes” Holt of the home; two daughters, Marta Holt of Gentry and Joelle Holt and husband Kelly Bradford of Lawrence, Kan.; two sons, Wes Holt and wife Brooke of Gentry and Charles Holt and wife Michele of Prairie Grove; five grandchildren, Joseph, Sierra, Jamie, Jaxson Holt and Harmony Wonsower; and a sister-inlaw, Wanda Rogers.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, at the Fayetteville National Cemetery under the direction of Beard’s Chapel, Fayetteville. Family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home at 1:45 p.m. for a procession to the cemetery.
