Wanda Jo Ed­mond­son

Wanda Jo Ed­mond­son, 67, of Gen­try, died on March 29, 2018, in Tulsa, Okla.

She was born on Nov. 13, 1950, in Mena, to Ramie Evans Jr. and Martha Cook Evans.

She grad­u­ated from Acorn High School in 1967. She mar­ried Larry Ed­mond­son on April 14, 1973, in Gen­try. She worked as a cos­me­tol­o­gist, bank teller and on the fam­ily farm. She at­tended First Bap­tist Church in High­fill.

She was pre­ceded in death by her par­ents and her grand­par­ents.

She is sur­vived by her hus­band, Larry Ed­mond­son; two daugh­ters, Cassie Dun­can of Gen­try, and Natalie Dis­ney and hus­band Michael of Lake Wales, Fla.; son, Kevin Ed­mond­son of Gen­try; five grand­chil­dren, Madi­son and Abby Dun­can, and Lily, Aiyana and Bryce Dis­ney; and a brother, Hertzel Jones and wife Mar­sha of Spring­dale.

Fu­neral ser­vices were Mon­day, April 2, at Was­son Fu­neral Home, Siloam Springs, with David Long of­fi­ci­at­ing. Burial fol­lowed at Gen­try Ceme­tery, in Gen­try. Ar­range­ments were by Was­son Fu­neral Home, Siloam Springs.

Bar­bara Joann Palone

Bar­bara Joann Palone, 73, of Stil­well, Okla., died Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at Stil­well Nurs­ing Home.

She was born Sept. 28, 1944, in Siloam Springs, to Floyd Burkes and Lucy Dixon Burkes.

She was pre­ceded in death by her par­ents; and sib­lings, Charles Burkes, Shirley Har­ri­son, Doris Burkes, Ed­ward Burkes and David Burkes.

Sur­vivors in­clude two sons, Wil­liam Palone of Stil­well, Okla., and Frankie Palone of Siloam Springs; two daugh­ters, Melissa Williams of Gravette and Glenda Palone of Siloam Springs; a sister, Lucy De­moss of Siloam Springs; 14 grand­chil­dren; and seven great-grand­chil­dren.

Me­mo­rial ser­vices were March 31, at Faith Alive Church in West Siloam Springs, Okla., un­der the di­rec­tion of Was­son Fu­neral Home.

Norma Jane Wil­moth

Norma Jane Wil­moth went to be with the Lord on March 26, 2018, at Cir­cle of Life in Spring­dale, Arkansas. She was born on Fe­bru­ary 7, 1933, to Lee Sa­muel Shook and Beu­lah V. Shook of De­catur, Arkansas. Norma Jane mar­ried Richard “Gene” E. Wil­moth on Jan­uary 21, 1950. They were mar­ried for 68 years.

She worked at the Bank of Gravette and as a sub­sti­tute teacher. She was very ac­tive with the De­catur Cham­ber of Com­merce, and St. Jude’s fundrais­ers. Norma Jane was a mem­ber of First Bap­tist Church for 40 years, al­ways help­ing with Bi­ble School, teach­ing Sun­day School, and de­liv­er­ing gift boxes to many fam­i­lies. Al­ways will­ing to help oth­ers, Norma Jane’s jour­ney is now com­plete.

Mrs. Wil­moth was pre­ceded in death by her son, James Richard Wil­moth; par­ents, five sis­ters, and one brother.

She leaves be­hind her hus­band, Gene Wil­moth; her chil­dren, Teresa “Terry” Wil­moth Allen and hus­band Rick of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and Paula Wil­moth Still of Ben­ton, Arkansas. Norma Jane also left be­hind five grand­chil­dren, Joshua and wife Stacey, Rod­er­ick Shan­non Allen, Ni­cholas E. Allen and wife Au­tumn, Jack­son E. Still, and Malea McE­lyea and hus­band Bobby, and thir­teen great-grand­chil­dren.

Visi­ta­tion will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at First Bap­tist Church, De­catur, Arkansas. The fam­ily will have a pri­vate grave­side ser­vice fol­low­ing visi­ta­tion at De­catur Ceme­tery with Pas­tor Justin White of­fi­ci­at­ing. Burial will be pri­vate.
