Wanda Jo Edmondson

Wanda Jo Edmondson, 67, of Gentry, died on March 29, 2018, in Tulsa, Okla.

She was born on Nov. 13, 1950, in Mena, to Ramie Evans Jr. and Martha Cook Evans.

She graduated from Acorn High School in 1967. She married Larry Edmondson on April 14, 1973, in Gentry. She worked as a cosmetolog­ist, bank teller and on the family farm. She attended First Baptist Church in Highfill.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandparen­ts.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Edmondson; two daughters, Cassie Duncan of Gentry, and Natalie Disney and husband Michael of Lake Wales, Fla.; son, Kevin Edmondson of Gentry; five grandchild­ren, Madison and Abby Duncan, and Lily, Aiyana and Bryce Disney; and a brother, Hertzel Jones and wife Marsha of Springdale.

Funeral services were Monday, April 2, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, with David Long officiatin­g. Burial followed at Gentry Cemetery, in Gentry. Arrangemen­ts were by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Barbara Joann Palone

Barbara Joann Palone, 73, of Stilwell, Okla., died Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at Stilwell Nursing Home.

She was born Sept. 28, 1944, in Siloam Springs, to Floyd Burkes and Lucy Dixon Burkes.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Charles Burkes, Shirley Harrison, Doris Burkes, Edward Burkes and David Burkes.

Survivors include two sons, William Palone of Stilwell, Okla., and Frankie Palone of Siloam Springs; two daughters, Melissa Williams of Gravette and Glenda Palone of Siloam Springs; a sister, Lucy Demoss of Siloam Springs; 14 grandchild­ren; and seven great-grandchild­ren.

Memorial services were March 31, at Faith Alive Church in West Siloam Springs, Okla., under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home.

Norma Jane Wilmoth

Norma Jane Wilmoth went to be with the Lord on March 26, 2018, at Circle of Life in Springdale, Arkansas. She was born on February 7, 1933, to Lee Samuel Shook and Beulah V. Shook of Decatur, Arkansas. Norma Jane married Richard “Gene” E. Wilmoth on January 21, 1950. They were married for 68 years.

She worked at the Bank of Gravette and as a substitute teacher. She was very active with the Decatur Chamber of Commerce, and St. Jude’s fundraiser­s. Norma Jane was a member of First Baptist Church for 40 years, always helping with Bible School, teaching Sunday School, and delivering gift boxes to many families. Always willing to help others, Norma Jane’s journey is now complete.

Mrs. Wilmoth was preceded in death by her son, James Richard Wilmoth; parents, five sisters, and one brother.

She leaves behind her husband, Gene Wilmoth; her children, Teresa “Terry” Wilmoth Allen and husband Rick of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and Paula Wilmoth Still of Benton, Arkansas. Norma Jane also left behind five grandchild­ren, Joshua and wife Stacey, Roderick Shannon Allen, Nicholas E. Allen and wife Autumn, Jackson E. Still, and Malea McElyea and husband Bobby, and thirteen great-grandchild­ren.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at First Baptist Church, Decatur, Arkansas. The family will have a private graveside service following visitation at Decatur Cemetery with Pastor Justin White officiatin­g. Burial will be private.
