Billy V. Hall Se­nior Cen­ter holds Easter cel­e­bra­tion

GRAVETTE — Pa­trons of the Billy V. Hall Se­nior Ac­tiv­ity Cen­ter en­joyed an Easter cel­e­bra­tion Fri­day, March 30. Ac­tiv­i­ties be­gan with an Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. Prize eggs were filled with candy and a few con­tained cash prizes.

An Easter bon­net con­test was held just be­fore lunch. Sev­eral ladies mod­eled their cre­atively-dec­o­rated bon­nets. The top three en­tries were cho­sen by the au­di­ence. Betty Howard, Con­nie Adams and Jeanie Easley were win­ners and re­ceived gift bags.

A draw­ing was held for three quilts made and do­nated by Betty Howard. Win­ners of the quilts were Mavis Killeen, Dorothy Norris and Leon White­side. $382 was raised for the cen­ter’s Meals on Wheels pro­gram.

Easter din­ner was served to al­most 60 per­sons. Each place set­ting fea­tured a fa­vor, a candy con­tainer dec­o­rated to look like a rab­bit.
