Alvin Dennis Brinegar
Alvin Dennis Brinegar, 81, of Siloam Springs, died June 14, 2018, at the Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale.
Alvin was born at home in Hiwasse in 1937. He attended school at Hiwasse Public School, Ozark Academy in Gentry and graduated from Gravette High School. He married Nelda in Springdale on Dec. 29, 1956. He was a member of the Gentry Seventh-day Adventist church. He was a music lover and played the violin, wrote lyrics and enjoyed family music jams. He was a fourth-generation master carpenter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Winfred Brinegar and Mary Alice (Mamie) Larson Brinegar; and sisters, Inez Larson, Veda Cooper, Doris Edwards and Joy Cordova.
He is survived by his spouse, Nelda Marie Parker Brinegar, of the home; his son, Dennis and wife Karen of Siloam Springs; his two daughters, Bonny and husband Larry Huls of Westville, Okla., Donna and husband Brian Dennis of Siloam Springs; brother, Winfred Brinegar and wife Jean of Poteau, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs at 10 a.m., Sunday, June 24. Arrangements are by Wasson Funeral Home.
Cledith Faye Grimmett
Cledith Faye Grimmett died June 13, 2018, in Gravette.
She was born on March 25, 1945, in DeQueen, to Julian and May Bell (Brewer) Ward. She was the wife of the late Joe T. Grimmett. She received an associate’s degree from Northwest Arkansas Community College. She was a USDA inspector and longtime resident of Decatur. She loved spending time fishing at the local creeks.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and son, John Thomas.
She is survived by her sister, Julia May Ward; four children, Montie Beaty, Pamela Dollar, Recinda Thompson and Leslie “Joey” Grimmett; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held June 19 in Falling Springs Cemetery, Decatur.
Arrangements were by Callison-Lough Funeral Home, Bentonville.
Vernon Ray Jones
Vernon Ray Jones, 56, died June 7, 2018, at Southern Philippines Medical Center in the Philippines.
He was born Sept. 28, 1961, in Pocahontas to Harlen Jones and Geraldine Stroud. He loved music and playing the guitar with friends and family. He was a talented artist and published songwriter and poet.
He was proceeded in death by his parents and a brother, Chris Jones.
He is survived by his sons, Joshua Jones of Rogers and Justin Jones of Bentonville; three brothers, Jim H. Jones of Twin Lake, Mich., Dwayne Jones of Tontitown, James Jones of Gravette; two sisters, Erma Jones Wise of Rogers and Julia Mapes of Gravette; and eight grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on June 23 at 10 a.m. in Bentonville at Park Street Baptist Church, 1000 N. Main Street, Bentonville.
Lionel Lee Myers
Lionel Lee Myers, 54, of Gravette, died June 14, 2018, at Siloam Springs Regional Hospital in Siloam Springs.
He was born April 10, 1964, in Russellville to Buster Myers and Patricia Ellen Yankey Myers. He married Lori Ryan on Oct. 12, 2012. He was a concrete construction worker.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Lori of the home; stepdaughters, Shelby Jenkins, Katlyn Waite and Jamie Waite, all of Fayetteville; and brother, Linas Yankey of Gravette.
No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.
Linda Gay Nipp
Linda Gay Nipp, 74, died June 11, 2018.
She was born Oct. 14, 1943, in Alba, Texas, to William Guy and Estelle (Mapes) Ragsdale. She married Eugene Nipp June 13, 1959, and was a loving and loyal wife for 59 years. They had two children together. She lived in Avoca for 38 years, where she was a hair stylist, homemaker and mother.
She was preceded in death by both her parents; two sisters, Louise Ellis and Jeanette Gibson; and one brother, Dwain Ragsdale.
She is survived by her husband; a son, Terry and Jolene Nipp of Rocky Comfort, Mo.; a daughter, Teresa Gail and Larry D. Schwartz of Gravette; a brother, Bill Guy and Sue Ragsdale of Golden, Texas; a grandchild, Whitley Jordon Nipp; and one greatgrandchild.
A funeral service was held on June 15 at Boundless Grace Church of Little Flock. Graveside services followed in Tucks Chapel cemetery, with Josh Ramsey officiating.
Arrangements were by Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.
Becky Jean Outhier
Becky Jean Outhier, 61, of Gravette, died June 12, 2018, at Circle of Life in Springdale.
She was born Sept. 30, 1956, in Bentonville, to Doyle Lee and Vera Jean Orndorff Wishon. She was a homemaker and graduated from Bob Ross Art Studios.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
She is survived by her companion, Gary Porter of the home; her children, Brandy Barby (Ben) of Laverne, Okla., Jeremiah DeVon of Gravette; stepdaughters Britton Meadows of Gentry, and Krystal Porter of Fayetteville; stepsons, James Porter of Bentonville and Donnie Porter of Gravette; her siblings, Rita Cox, Bobby Wishon and Bill Stanley, all of Skiatook, Okla.; and grandchildren, Preston Dean, Shakia Barby, Bradley Dean, Terrance Dean, Marissa Dean, Leah Ryan, Valin Meadows, Ollie Barby, Valesia Meadows, Claire Barby and Sierra Pryor.
Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. Friday, June 15, at Lee Cemetery in Sulphur Springs.
Arrangements were by Benton County Funeral Home of Rogers.
Gale Dean Richardson
Gale Dean Richardson, 53, of Blythedale, Mo., died Thursday, June 7, 2018, at his home.
He was born July 2, 1964, in Bethany, Mo., to Gary Richardson and Sharon L. (Siddens) Edmondson. He was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church and enjoyed deer hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Gene Richardson; stepmother, Cheryl Richardson, and paternal grandparents, Billie and Helen Richardson.
He is survived by his father, Gary Richardson of the home; mother, Sharon (Dean) Edmondson of Gravette; sister, Teresa Towler, of Fayetteville; stepbrothers, Charles (Brenda) Hoover, Bethany, Mo., and David (Carolyn) Edmondson of Gravette; and stepsister, Penny Hoover, Chillicothe, Mo.
Memorial graveside services and inurnment were Monday, June 11, in Masonic Cemetery, Eagleville, Mo. Arrangements were by Roberson Funeral Home, Eagleville, Mo.
Karen Sue (Ziemer) Whited
Karen Sue (Ziemer) Whited, 82, of Gravette, died June 14, 2018, at the residence of her daughter, Nancy Curtis.
She was born Jan. 1, 1936, in Hutchinson, Kan., to Lois (Kelly) Ziemer and David Mark Ziemer. She lived in Hutchinson, graduating from Hutchinson High School in 1953. She moved to Arkansas in 2007. She enjoyed her children’s sports, raising horses and sheep and gardening.
She was survived by her children, Dana (Jack) Fulton and Keni (Anna) Whited of Indiana, Kelly Whited of Florida, Daniel (Helen) Whited of Colorado, Nancy (Ray) Curtis of Arkansas, David (Stacy) Whited of Missouri; two sisters, Frances (Alan) Jackson of Maryland, and Charlotte (Jim) Humiston of Kansas; and 50 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at the Bethel Cemetery, Gravette, at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 20, with Clyde Garrett officiating.
