Lady Li­ons down Lady Ea­gles on Fri­day

GRAVETTE — The Lady Li­ons (2-2) jumped ahead of the vis­it­ing Lady Ea­gles from Huntsville early in the game, outscor­ing the Huntsville girls, 21-5, in the open­ing quar­ter. Though Huntsville closed the gap to seven points in the sec­ond quar­ter, Gravette went on to win the Fri­day night con­fer­ence game, 51-37.

Shylee Mor­ri­son led the Lady Li­ons in scor­ing with 16 points, 14 of those in the first half. Gabbi Scott hit a three­p­ointer in the open­ing quar­ter and then picked up another 12 in the sec­ond half for the Lady Li­ons.

Josie Sisk had 10 points to lead Huntsville (2-4).

Lin­coln 59 Gravette 40

In an away game against Lin­coln on Nov. 27, the Lady Li­ons came up short, drop­ping the game, 59-40.

Ac­cord­ing to scor­ing in­for­ma­tion posted to MaxPreps, the Lady Li­ons jumped ahead in the first quar­ter, 12-4, but al­lowed the Lady Wolves to score 20 points in the sec­ond half to take the lead, 24-20, at the break.

Lin­coln then outscored the Gravette girls, 35-20, in the sec­ond half to take the win.

No in­di­vid­ual Gravette scor­ing in­for­ma­tion was made avail­able by press time.
