Smith, Boehm families receive Christmas lighting prizes
DECATUR — The winners of the 2018 Decatur Chamber of Commerce annual house lighting contest gathered at Grand Savings Bank in Decatur Dec. 21 to receive the prizes they won for the best Christmas light displays in Decatur.
The event was sponsored by the Decatur Chamber of Commerce, Grand Savings Bank and the Arkansas Missouri Railroad.
First prize of $50, donated by Grand Savings Bank, and two tickets for the A&M excursion train were presented to the Ronald Smith family for their display at 1568 Stadium Drive in Decatur.
The second-place prize of $25 and two excursion train tickets went to the Patrick Boehm family at 153 Austin Ave.
Prizes were presented to the winners by Liz Fuentes, Grand Savings Bank, and Kim Wilkins, Decatur Chamber of Commerce president.
