Smith, Boehm fam­i­lies re­ceive Christ­mas light­ing prizes

DE­CATUR — The win­ners of the 2018 De­catur Cham­ber of Com­merce an­nual house light­ing con­test gath­ered at Grand Sav­ings Bank in De­catur Dec. 21 to re­ceive the prizes they won for the best Christ­mas light dis­plays in De­catur.

The event was spon­sored by the De­catur Cham­ber of Com­merce, Grand Sav­ings Bank and the Arkansas Mis­souri Rail­road.

First prize of $50, do­nated by Grand Sav­ings Bank, and two tick­ets for the A&M ex­cur­sion train were pre­sented to the Ron­ald Smith fam­ily for their dis­play at 1568 Sta­dium Drive in De­catur.

The sec­ond-place prize of $25 and two ex­cur­sion train tick­ets went to the Pa­trick Boehm fam­ily at 153 Austin Ave.

Prizes were pre­sented to the win­ners by Liz Fuentes, Grand Sav­ings Bank, and Kim Wilkins, De­catur Cham­ber of Com­merce pres­i­dent.

Those at­tend­ing the cer­e­mony in­cluded Liz Fuentes (rep­re­sent­ing Grand Sav­ings Bank), Martha Smith, Emilio Smith, Clara Smith, Ron­ald Smith and Wilkins.
