Head Librarian Darla Threet (left) was presented a plaque by Gentry’s mayor, Kevin Johnston, on Dec. 21 in honor of her years of service to the Gentry Public Library and the community. Her last day at the library was Dec. 21. A post to the Library’s Facebook page included the quote: “We would like to thank her for all of her wonderful service, wit and gentle presence that has graced our library for 20 years. She has led employees, volunteers, patrons, and the books themselves with wisdom and fortitude. Although she will be greatly missed by all of us, we wish her only the best and greatest in her retired years to come!”
