Lady Golden Arrows pierce through Lady Bulldog game plan
LAVACA — Playing one of the top volleyball programs in the 2A over the past few years, the Decatur Lady Bulldog junior high A, B, and varsity teams had their hands full when the group traveled to Lavaca Thursday night to take on the Lady Golden Arrows.
For the junior high A and varsity teams, it was a repeat from two days earlier when they lost to the Mansfield Lady Tigers in straight sets.
In the varsity contest, the Lady Bulldogs continued to make simple fundamental mistakes and miscues throughout the three-set series. Eventually, the match favored the stronger and well-versed Lady Golden Arrows, 25-16, 25-13, 25-11, for the conference win.
As for the junior high A and B teams, both lost their matches in two sets each.
All three Decatur Lady Bulldog teams were to travel to Eureka Springs on Tuesday (after press time) for a three-game conference series with the Lady Highlanders.
