Three seniors vying to be Bulldog homecoming queen
DECATUR — Who will become the 2022 Decatur High School homecoming king and queen? This question will be answered on Sept. 23 during the homecoming battle between the Bulldogs and the Magazine Rattlers at Bulldog Stadium in Decatur.
The coronation ceremony is slated to begin at 6:30 p.m., with the game time at 7 p.m. The homecoming parade will begin at 1:30 p.m. and pass through downtown Decatur.
Vying for this year’s title are three seniors, Abby Davis, Jacey Smith and Autumn Pembleton. These queen candidates will be introduced during the homecoming pep rally at Peterson-Owens Fieldhouse in Decatur which begins at 2:15 p.m.
Completing this year’s homecoming court are junior maids Jackie Mendoza and Giselle Fuentes, sophomore maid Heaven McGarrah, and freshman maid Cindy Vang.
The court will be escorted by senior members of the 2022 Bulldog football team, including Landen Watson, Riley Fenner, Yeferson Cardona, Randell Fipps, Mason Potter and Larry Thompson.
