Burlsworth legacy to be celebrated Friday
GRAVETTE — A Burlsworth Recognition Night will be held Friday evening, Sept. 30, at Lion Field to honor Brandon Burlsworth’s legacy and commemorate the filming of portions of the movie “Greater” at Gravette High School. Members of the Burlsworth family will be in attendance.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held for the installation of a permanent plaque on the GHS stadium concession stand. The ribbon cutting will be held at 6:15 p.m. prior to the kickoff of the evening’s football game with Lincoln.
Formal recognition and introduction of special guests will be held on the stadium track at Lion Field between the first and second quarters of the football game, and formal recognition of former GHS Burlsworth Award winners will be held there between the third and fourth quarters of the game.
The public is invited.
