GENTRY — The volleyball teams in Gentry traveled to Farmington and Berryville last week, with the seventh grade team ending its season by beating Berryville, 3-0, on Thursday.

The Lady Pioneers were shut out in the remaining sets and matches in both Farmington and Berryville.

“The seventh grade ended its season this week,” said head coach Delanie Tipton. “They improved so much throughout the season. I am happy they ended it with a win over Berryville.”

“Traveling to Berryville was a long ride for the junior high and senior high [teams] and we just never really woke up and decided to play,” Tipton said. “We are nearing the end of our season and are hoping to pull out a couple more wins before we start our conference tournament,” she added.

Berryville had its Dig Pink that night to honor the family of Larrisa Allen.

“Our thoughts and prayers go to her family,” Tipton said.
