Homecoming set for Friday in Gentry

GENTRY — Homecoming ceremonies will be held on Friday night in Gentry, with coronation beginning at 6:20 p.m. in Pioneer Stadium.

Other activities on Friday include a pep rally in Pioneer Stadium at 10:25 a.m. and a parade at 1 p.m.

The parade route will begin at the high school, travel north on Pioneer Lane, go past the intermedia­te school and onto Gentry’s Main Street.

Vying for homecoming queen on Friday will be seniors Cady Truman, Cerella Lor, Kaitlyn Braun, Madi Voyles, Afton Finnell and Amya Xiong.

Other homecoming maids for 2022 in Gentry include freshman Iris Still, freshman Aubrey Fox, freshman Addy McGhee, sophomore Mckenzie Barnes, sophomore Audrie Littlejohn, sophomore Kayla Summers, junior Natalie Beattie, junior Keira Digby and junior Abby Schopper.

Among other activities this week at Gentry High School will be the annual powderpuff football games today (Wednesday) at 1 p.m. in Pioneer Stadium.
