Gravette girls win state golf championsh­ip

GRAVETTE — The girls’ golf team from Gravette High School won the state championsh­ip at the state tournament on the Magellan Golf Course in Hot Springs Village on Sept. 26.

Teagen Muldoon, a freshman, finished with a score of 83, making her an all-state golfer and third overall individual finisher.

Muldoon also qualified for the overall state tournament at Pleasant Valley Country Club in Little Rock, on Oct 13. Only the top three from each classifica­tion get to attend this tournament.

Rachel Deihl, a Gravette senior, finished with a score of 90, making her an all-state golfer and eighth overall as an individual finisher.

Brooke Handle, a junior, finished with a score of 107. Karley Auffet, a sophomore, finished with a 126. Team totals were: First Place — Gravette — 280.

Second Place — Nashville — 286.

Third Place — Shiloh Christian — 297.
