Officer King recognized at retirement celebration

GENTRY — The Gentry Police Department recognized Officer Don King at his retirement celebration on Monday, Oct. 31.

King served the community of Gentry for eight years in multiple capacities, including patrol and school resource officer. He also served the surrounding area for approximately 13 years as a dispatcher, as well as working for other departments.

The Gentry department thanked King for his selfless service and dedication to the citizens of Gentry and to the children of the Gentry School District.
