Officer King recognized at retirement celebratio­n

GENTRY — The Gentry Police Department recognized Officer Don King at his retirement celebratio­n on Monday, Oct. 31.

King served the community of Gentry for eight years in multiple capacities, including patrol and school resource officer. He also served the surroundin­g area for approximat­ely 13 years as a dispatcher, as well as working for other department­s.

The Gentry department thanked King for his selfless service and dedication to the citizens of Gentry and to the children of the Gentry School District.
