Gentry cross-country competes at state meet

GENTRY — Two Gentry runners finished in the top 50 at the state 4A cross-country meet held in Hot Springs on Thursday.

In the boys’ 500-meter run, senior Jakob Cox finished 38th with a time of 19:12.66. On the girls’ side, Gentry sophomore Morgan Polina finished in 48th with a time of 24:48.10.

Senior Rivers Lor finished at 98th with a time of 20:52.30; senior Braulio Echeverria in 132nd at 21:59.05; sophomore Connor Miller, 146th at 22:19.39; and junior Daniel Carrera at 177th with a time of 23:51.67. The boys’ team finished in 22nd place with 512 points.

Gentry senior Diego Reynoso finished at 198th with a time of 25:42.41, and Johan Lee finished at 203rd with a time of 26:24.52.
