Lady Lions make strong showing against Oklahoma teams
GRAVETTE — The Lady Lions dominated the Lady Wardogs of Miami, Okla., during a nonconference game at Gravette High School on Dec. 6, taking a 23-4 lead in the first quarter, a 40-11 lead by the half, and building on that lead through the remainder of the game for a 61-22 win.
Dalacie Wishon led her teammates in scoring with 15. Rachel Deihl was close behind with 13. Brooke Handle had 10 points in the game. She was followed by Brynn Romine and Graci Moffit, each with seven. Gabbi Bates and Karley Auffet had three each, Kenlee Harris had two, and Keeley Elsea had one in the game.

Wyandotte 30
In tournament play last weekend, the Gravette girls also dominated in a game against Wyandotte, Okla., jumping ahead in the first quarter and controlling the contest for a 56-30 win.
Gravette outscored Wyandotte 12-6 in the first quarter, 17-7 in the second, 10-7 in the third, and 17-10 in the fourth.
Brooke Handle led the Lady Lions in scoring with 14. Rachel Deihl had 11, Keeley Elsea had 10, Ella Moorman had eight, Alexa Parker had six, Dalacie Wishon four and Isabella Callahan three.

Gravette 56
The Lady Lions fell behind during tournament play against Locust Grove over the weekend and were down 12-8 at the end of the first quarter, 24-15 at the half and 39-26 after three. But a big fourth quarter for the Lady Lions, 24-11, closed the gap and tied the game at 50 when the fourth-quarter buzzer sounded.
Locust Grove outscored Gravette 13-6 in the overtime for the 63-56 win.
Rachel Deihl led her teammates in points with 18, and Brooke Handle was right behind her with 17. Dalacie Wishon had nine, Brynn Romine six, Keeley Elsea four and Graci Moffit two.
