Castleberry Hill

Where Atlanta - - WHERE NOW -

Southwest of Downtown Atlanta, Castleberry Hill is a small-yet-mighty haven for artists and designers. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the area is the most complete surviving warehouse district in Atlanta. Many of those historic buildings have since been converted to lofts, art galleries and boutique shops. The neighborhood is also an ideal filming location, and can be seen as a backdrop in “The Walking Dead,”“Driving Miss Daisy,”“Vampire Diaries,” and “Ride Along,” among many others. Diverse, local restaurants—like Paschal’s Restaurant, No Mas! Cantina and Bottle Rocket— flourish in the brick-and-mortar neighborhood. The monthly art stroll (p. 9) is Castleberry Hill’s signature event, and touted by many as the city’s best.
