Editor’s Note

The summer months are in the rearview mirror, but there’s no reason to look back as Dallas and Forth Worth always have something—and usually spectacular—planned.

AT&T Stadium sees the return of football action as the Dallas Cowboys begin the quest for Super Bowl glory at home Sept. 8.

The Cowboys’ home is in Arlington, the area highlighted this month. Down the road from AT&T Stadium is Arlington Backyard, a 5,000-set venue and one of the best spots to catch a concert. Top shopping options abound and there are delicious choices to made when considering where to dine.

The State Fair of Texas returns at the end of September and remains one of the state’s top yearly events. Make your way to the midway for thrilling rides, catch live music and shows, interact with animals, be part of a festive college football crowd and so much more.

While major sports command attention, places like the Texas Motor Speedway hosts big races, roller derby holds its own and participation in (running) races is encouraged.

The next two months allow for much to do. It’s your decision what to fall into.
