MI­AMI MAY BE BEST KNOWN for its world-class seafood and vi­brant Cuban din­ing scene, but the "Magic City" also throws down on ta­cos all over town. Take for in­stance, the artis­tic in­spired fare from Ta­col­ogy (701 S. Mi­ami Ave.), the Mer­cado-style taque­ria lo­cated at Brick­ell City Cen­tre, where the food is so pretty you won’t want to eat it. On the west end of Lin­coln Road is Huahua’s Taque­ria (1211 Lin­coln Road). Helmed by Ex­ec­u­tive Chef Todd Erickson and named af­ter co-owner’s pet Chi­huaha, Huahua’s is a fast ca­sual spot for quick, easy lunch, din­ner and late-night Mex­i­can fare. Start the day with break­fast ta­cos or soak up the night with fried chicken stuffed in a flour tor­tilla. For those on the run, try My Ce­viche (3252 NE 1 Ave.), one of the area's fastest ris­ing quick-serve con­cepts with ta­cos filled with fish, shrimp, charred oc­to­pus or the lo­cal fa­vorite: raw tuna.
