Wings of Hope

Hope provides a variety of donation methods to make supporting their mission easy and rewarding.

-

PLEDGES

Pledges are a great way to distribute large gifts over a predetermined time period. Pledge agreements can be created for any donation amount and distributed over any time period. These gifts can be automatically charged to a credit card or deducted from a bank account.

LIFE INSURANCE TRANSFERS

Donors can transfer ownership of a paid life insurance policy to Hope. Hope can elect to cash in the policy upon receipt or keep the policy and receive the death benefit later. Life insurance donors receive gift credit and an immediate income tax deduction for the cash surrender value of the policy.

SECURITIES TRANSFERS

Transfers of stock to Hope allow donors to receive an income tax deduction for the fair market value of the securities on the date of transfer, and donors pay no capital gains tax on the securities donated.

RETIREMENT PLANS

Donors can name Hope as the beneficiary of an IRA, 401(k) or other qualified plan. Any residual left in the plan when the donor dies passes to Hope tax-free. By leaving this to Hope, donors avoid both income and estate tax levied on the residual left in the retirement account.

PROPERTY DONATION

Gifts of personal property are welcome at Hope Chest Resale Stores.the donations are taxdeductible, and receipts are provided for financial records. However, the IRS requires that donors estimate the market value of items given.

ESTATE GIFTS

Donors can provide a future gift by including Hope Hospice and Community Services as a bequest provision in their will or trust.with this type of donation, there is no upper limit on the estate tax deductions.

PURCHASE OF A HOPE CHARITABLE GIFT ANNUITY

A unique giving opportunity exists with the purchase of a Hope Charitable Gift Annuity. Donors can transfer a minimum of $10,000 cash or securities to purchase an annuity that will pay the donor, and up to two delegates, fixed payments for life.the principal passes to Hope when the contract ends. Donors receive an immediate income tax deduction for a portion of the gift.

TRIBUTES

Hope can create beautiful tribute markers such as dedication stones, tree markers, benches, plaques, fountain markers and Keepspace boxes, in which personal items can be placed. Each of these items is personalized with a loved one's name.

CASH

A cash donation is the simplest way to provide immediate benefits to someone in Hope's care. The organization can accept cash payment in many forms: currency, personal checks, money orders, credit cards and wire transfers.these gifts can be made by mail, by phone or online.

GIFTS IN HONOR/IN MEMORY

No matter what type of gift is made to Hope, donors can choose to give in honor of someone who is living or in memory of someone who has died. Hope will inform the honored party of the gesture made and will send notice of a memorial gift to surviving loved ones.

Gift counselors are available to explain the many donation vehicles offered at Hope and encourage donors to review all donation plans with their financial advisor or estate planner.
