WHAT YOU’LL NEED ❑ Papier mâché heartshaped box (measures about 7" across) ❑ Plaid ® Folkart ® Multi-surface acrylic paint; Wicker White ❑ Mod Podge ® Gloss decoupage paste ❑ Scrapbook paper; 1 sheet each in solid light pink, patterned with large bright roses and patterned with small bright pink flowers 1Coat the entire box and the lid in Wicker White paint. 2Cut out a large rose; ours is about 2 1/2" across. Using Mod Podge, glue it to the center of the lid. 3Cut the solid pink paper into tiles about 1/2" wide and Mod-Podge them around the edge and side of the lid and around the box at the bottom. Vary the shapes a bit and separate them a little so the white background shows through. 4Fill in the space between the border and large rose with tiles cut from the paper with the small flowers. You will have to cut some pieces to fit in specific spaces. When finished, paint the surface with Mod Podge. 5Cut more tiles from the paper with the small flowers and then Mod-Podge them around the sides of the box. Leave about 1/2" at the top clear, so the lid will fit on easily. Paint over the surface with Mod Podge.
