Breathe your way to deeper sleep? Yes! This incredibly relaxing technique, pioneered by holistic health expert Andrew Weil, M.D. (Drweil.com), works by turning down your nervous system’s “fight or flight” response, in turn, lowering your blood pressure and relaxing your muscles for hours!

✤ To do: Sitting comfortabl­y in bed, place the tip of your tongue against the back of your upper front teeth. Exhale completely through your mouth to empty your lungs, then close your mouth and inhale through your nose for four counts. Hold your breath for seven counts, then exhale slowly through your mouth for eight counts, making a “whoosh” noise as you release the air. Repeat the sequence three times.
