WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Wooden box with lid, about 8"x11"; ours is Walnut Hollow #3211. Fine sandpaper Decoart ® MultiPurpose Sealer; Americana ® acrylics in White and Victorian Blue, or color of your choice; Paper Decou-page™ and Ice Crystal Glamour Dust™ Printed paper napkins, our two prints (and one solid blue) are from Caspari 12" half-pearl trimming White Sugru moldable glue (small package) 25-30 assorted small sticky-back gems 12" (1/2") white ribbon Craft glue Pearl button

1Lightly sand any rough areas on the box. Dust, then paint inside and out with sealer. When dry, paint inside box and lid’s outer edge blue, remainder white. Lightly paint inside edges—thick paint may keep the box from closing properly. 2 Separate napkins’ layers; use just the top ply. Cut border strips or solid colors to go around the box’s sides, large pieces or individual motifs for large areas. Starting at the back, lay one piece of napkin on the box, make sure it’s lined up correctly then gently brush DecouPage on top. When dry, brush on another layer of Decou-page. Repeat with the remaining pieces until the box and inside lid are both covered. 3 When Decou-page has dried completely, paint Ice Crystal Glamour Dust over the entire outside and the inside lid. 4 Roll tiny beads of Sugru and stick them, close together, along the lid’s front edge; press pearl trim on top. Stick gems randomly to the box top. Tie ribbon into a bow and glue it to the front of the lid. Add pearl button.
