Make your own vintage-style vases!

You’ll need for each vase: ❏ 1 glass vase (Bev used dollar-store finds, but she recommends checking Walmart or recycling leftover florist vases too!) ❏ White gloss spray paint ❏ Fabric flowers snipped from flea market or thrift store sheets, curtain panels or table linens ❏ Gold trim (Look in the scrapbooki­ng aisle at the crafts store. Bev used Martha Stewart trim available at Plaidonlin­e.com) ❏ Dishwasher-safe gloss decoupage paste

Start clean!

Rinse the vase with soapy water and buff dry with a soft cloth.

Spray on white!

Spray on a light coat of spray paint; let dry. Repeat until vase is opaque white.

Add trim!

Keep trim straight by lightly marking placement with a ruler and pencil. Apply paste to back of trim; press in place. Brush on another light coat of paste over the trim. Let dry.

Finish with flowers!

Brush the back of floral cutouts with paste, then press them onto the vase. Brush another coat of paste over the entire vase. Let dry. Follow instructio­ns on dishwasher-safe decoupage jar, adding more coats of paste as directed to create a waterproof surface.
