■ Dried: Once opened, most retain peak flavor for up to a year, as long as they’re kept a tightly in sealed container in a cool, dry and dark place, far from the stove and other heat sources. ■ Fresh: Snip the stems, then stand them in a glass of water if they’ll be used within 24 hours. Otherwise place in an unsealed plastic bag in your refrigerat­or’s crisper drawer to keep them fresh for up to a week. Not them using up right away? You can freeze them in an airtight bag for up to a year.
