7 Days of Inspiration

When Woman’s World reader Lesa White, of Winter Haven, Florida, was missing her mom, she asked the angels for comfort, and they delivered a heartfelt message from Heaven. W She writes: hen I lost my mom to lung cancer, I also lost my best friend. We were in contact every day and enjoyed shopping, having lunch together and lots of sweet mother/daughter conversations.

Still, after she passed, I wondered if I had been a good daughter. Had I spent enough time with her? When she was ill, I hardly left her side. Yet I worried that perhaps I could have done more.

As avid readers of Woman’s World, my mom and I loved the “My Guardian Angel” column and were fascinated by the stories of angels sending grieving loved ones comforting signs.

One day, while going through Mom’s paperwork, I paused and asked my guardian angel to send me a sign that Mom was happy. Just asking for a sign, I suddenly felt a sense of deep peace.

As I went back to sorting through the various papers, a notepad fell from my hands, landing on the floor. When I picked it up, I noticed Mom had written on several pages. I began reading, and my heart almost stopped. Mom had written a letter to me sometime after she became so ill.

Through tears, I read: Dear Lesa, There’s so much I want to tell you, but somehow, I can’t seem to put it in words. God must have chosen me to be one of the luckiest mothers in the world to send me a daughter like you. After he took Deena in 1956 at only 2 months, Daddy was afraid for us to try and have another child. But somehow, a miracle happened, and we were blessed with you two years later. And what a blessing it has been! I wish every mother could have a daughter like you. The world would be a much better place because you are such a loving and giving person. I am so glad that you met Rick [Lesa’s husband], and glad that Cody [Lesa’s son] accepted him right away. I hope the three of you will look out for one another and be happy. If there are guardian angels, I hope I can watch over my dear family that I am leaving behind. I love all of you! Mom.

Suddenly, I realized the letter was meant to be found on this day, and it was an answer from the angels!

My grief lightened after this experience, for I now know that my mom is still close by and watching over us, like a guardian angel.
