“When it’s time to decorate, I go through the house and collect things that make a family,” says Sandra. “It could be a group of nutcrackers I’ve collected over the years or extra ornaments piled in a pretty bowl. If many of the guests are family, I gather framed photos from every room and run them down the table!”

“Metallics add the shine and glamour you want at a holiday party,” shares Sandra. “I love using lots of gold and silver— or copper for a Victorian feel.”

“Using glasses in different colors and patterns looks festive and makes it easy for guests to remember which glass is theirs,” reveals Sandra. “Next time you’re in a party store, keep an eye out for plastic stemware that looks like cut crystal—it’s gorgeous!”

“I like to arrange everything from appetizers to desserts on cake stands and serve dip in a fancy footed bowl,” says Sandra. “The varying heights make a beautiful presentation.”
