The Christmas fruit that stops hair loss!
Turns out, one of the season’s most traditional desserts—that seasonal British sweet-and-savory staple mincemeat pie—is loaded with ingredients that can dramatically enhance your health!
❏ 4 diced apples with peel (sweet varieties such as Fuji or Golden Delicious)
❏ 2 cups apple juice
❏ 1 tsp. ground allspice
❏ 1 cup each cranberries and currants
❏ 1/4 cup brown sugar
❏ Juice and zest from 1 large orange
❏ Splash of rum, sherry or brandy, optional ✤ Add all ingredients into a pot, cover and simmer on low for 15-30 minutes, stirring occasionally and adding more juice if necessary. Then, if desired, stir in alcohol, remove from heat and let cool. Pour mixture into a prepared pie crust, fold into muffin or bread
batter, use to top ice cream
