Dad’s bluebirds

When Woman’s World reader Ilene Gresik of Newport News, Virginia, needed comfort, the angels sent her a sign that eased her sadness! She writes:

-

Ihave always loved birds. Over the years, many different types of birds have visited the feeders in my backyard. But for the life of me, I was never able to attract bluebirds. Then, one year, my father, who enjoyed woodworking as a hobby, built a log cabin bird feeder, and to my delight, bluebirds began to nest in it.

Unfortunately, squirrels discovered the feeder and the eggs disappeared. The birds nested once more, but again, the eggs were taken before they were hatched.

When I shared my frustration with Dad, he built a new bluebird house with a lowered floor to prevent predators from stealing the eggs. I hung it on my backyard fence, in anticipation of the following spring.

“The bluebirds lifted my heart and gave me peace!” Ilene marvels

Unfortunately, my father’s health suddenly took a turn for the worse, and he passed away. Being a “daddy’s girl,” I was devastated! How can I live without my father? I wept. “Please, God, let the angels send me a sign that Daddy is happy and well!”

A short time later, spring arrived, and the oddest thing occurred. A male and female bluebird started tapping on our windows! If I was upstairs, they would tap on my bedroom window. When downstairs, they’d peck on the front porch windows.

When my mom came to visit, the pair would sit on the side mirror of her car and chatter until she got out of her vehicle. This created great joy for both of us. I knew without doubt that the angels were giving me the sign I’d asked for.

Finally, we noticed that the birds had moved into the new birdhouse Dad had built. We not only got to watch the beautiful cycle of nesting, but we were also able to see the baby birds mature and fly off on their own. What an amazing treat!

The bluebirds stayed all spring, then disappeared around the end of June.

Soon after, to my dismay, my mother unexpectedly passed away. Again, I asked the angels for comfort.

Since both of my parents were cremated, we joined their ashes together and spread them under the bluebird feeder in my backyard. The following day, there were nine bluebirds in our backyard! Chills ran down my spine because I knew this was a sign from the angels, letting me know that my parents were happily reunited in Heaven.

“When we are grieving, it’s very natural to want a comforting sign from the angels,” says Doreen Virtue, PH.D.

“What a beautiful experience Ilene enjoyed with her beloved parents and the bluebirds! I am overjoyed that her father’s birdhouse has provided her with such happy memories.

“When we ask for a Heavenly sign to comfort our grieving hearts, it’s very common for the angels to send our favorite birds. How wonderful that the bluebirds visited both Ilene and her mother and that they made their presence known so clearly!

“I’m really glad that Ilene‘s heart was comforted by the bluebirds! Miracles happen, thanks to our guardian angels who love us so much!”
