Mermaid Milkshake

DECORATION­S 1/8 tsp. tylose powder, such as Wilton 1/4 cup white fondant, such as Wilton Decorator Preferred Cornstarch Light corn syrup Blue, green and violet decorating sugars 4 Tbs. canned vanilla frosting 1/4 cup Mermaid Sprinkles Mix* Sky blue concentrat­ed food coloring 1 vanilla mini cupcake 1 purple Sixlets candy MILKSHAKE 1/2 cup heavy cream 1 Tbs. sugar 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract 1 1/2 cups vanilla ice cream 3/4 cup milk 2 Tbs. dry Funfetti cake mix, from 15.25- oz. pkg. 1 drop neon blue liquid food coloring Wooden skewer Purple and blue rock sugar stirrers

Decoration­s: Knead tylose into fondant. On surface lightly dusted with cornstarch, roll out fondant to 1/8" thickness. Using 4 1/2" mermaidtai­l cookie cutter, cut out 1 tail; dry overnight. Lightly brush tail with corn syrup. Sprinkle on decorating sugars as desired. Let dry.

Using small spoon or spatula, spread 2 Tbs. frosting in a drip pattern around outside top edge of tall glass, as shown.

Reserve 1/4 tsp. sprinkles mix; spread remaining over small plate. Roll frosting on glass in sprinkles, as shown.

Tint remaining 2 Tbs. frosting sky blue with food coloring; spread on mini cupcake. Top with reserved sprinkles and Sixlet.

Milkshake: On medium-high speed, beat cream, sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form. Transfer to pastry bag fitted with star tip. In blender, combine ice cream, milk and cake mix; cover and blend just until smooth. Stir in neon blue food coloring; pour into glass. Pipe on whipped cream. Insert skewer into bottom of cupcake; place in glass. Garnish with mermaid tail and rock sugar stirrers. Makes 1 serving.
