1 Volumize flat hair with a baking soda boost!

“Baking soda is amazing at gently removing product buildup and debris from your hair,” says Janice Cox, author of Natural Beauty at Home. It whisks away impurities that can weigh hair down. The result: extra bounce and volume! n Try it! Combine 1 tsp. baking soda, 1 Tbs. olive oil, 8 oz. strongly brewed green tea and 1 Tbs. fresh lemon juice. Massage into scalp and hair after shampooing; rinse.

2 Add shine with a vitamin E mask!

“Natural oils like avocado, almond and olive oils are rich in vitamin E,” explains Cox, who notes that the nutrient helps improve elasticity and smooth cuticles so your hair reflects more light! n Try it! Combine 1 tsp. each almond, avocado and olive oils with 1 Tbs. each honey and fresh lemon juice. Smooth over hair; cover with shower cap. Relax 15 minutes; shampoo out.

3 Soften with a coco-honey deep conditioner!

“Coconut oil is great for dry hair,” Cox says. That’s thanks to its nourishing fats that soften roughed-up cuticles. Pair it with humectant honey, which retains moisture, for hair that’s hydrated and silky-soft! n Try it! Blitz 2 Tbs. coconut oil, 1/2 avocado, 1/2 banana and

2 Tbs. honey in blender. Smooth over damp hair; cover with shower cap. Relax 20 minutes; rinse.

n Fast fix! Raw Sugar Living Healing Power Hair Masque, $ 9.99 at Target.

4 Strengthen hair with a berry-almond smoothie!

Nourish follicles from the inside out with strawberries—rich in collagen-boosting vitamin C to add strength— and almond butter, which has healthy fats to improve elasticity. Plus, a spoonful of Greek yogurt delivers protein, the building block of healthy hair! n Try it! Blitz 1/2 cup frozen strawberries, 1 Tbs. almond butter, 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt and 4 oz. almond milk in blender until smooth. Transfer to tall glass and enjoy.

5 Stop frizz with a rose mist!

“Aloe and rosewater are both incredibly hydrating ingredients that won’t add extra weight,” Cox says. Together, they coat cuticles with moisture to prevent them from expanding and getting frizzy during high humidity. n Try it! Combine 4 oz. rosewater, 2 oz. water 2 tsp. pure aloe

vera gel in spray bottle; shake to combine. Mist onto clean hair. Keeps 3 weeks, refrigerated.
