pattern (below) at 400% twice. Your child cuts white felt into two equal pieces, stacks, places pattern on top, uses straight pins to hold layers together. She cuts out, following pattern’s outline.

2The

child pushes straight pins straight down through pattern at ends of eyelids and mouth. Help her remove pattern, leaving pins in place. After practicing on felt scraps, referring to photo, your child draws facial features with marker, using pins as guides. She adds blush to cheeks. 3The child glues edges of felt pieces together, leaving 6" open at center bottom. After glue dries, she stuffs with fiberfill.

4The

child lays 5" tape (sticky-side up) on work surface, taping ends down to secure. She cuts 8" yarn lengths (yarn’s thickness determines number of lengths needed). She sticks yarn ends, side-by-side, onto 4" of the tape, covering half its width. She folds the tape’s top edge over yarn ends. 5The child inserts taped end of yarn assembly into pillow opening, glues closed, trims yarn evenly.
