WHAT YOU’LL NEED ❏ Leather or suede cord; (ours is chestnut color) ❏ 9 large silver Thai-style round beads with holes big enough for two leather strips ❏ 8 small Thai-style cylinder beads with holes big enough for one leather strip ❏ Silver hook clasp

Cut two pieces of leather cord, one 30", the other 54". Fold the longer cord in half. Tie the folded end and one end of the shorter cord together in an overhand knot. The folded- over end will be the loop for the hook clasp; move the knot up to make the loop smaller if needed before pulling it tight.

Lay the three cords out on your work surface. Feed the ends of two cords through a large bead; it’s easier to feed them individually than at the same time. Feed the single cord through a small bead. Slide beads up to the knot and pull cords taut.

Move the center cord next to the cord with the small bead. Feed these two cords through a large bead and slide it toward the knotted end. Slide a small bead on the third cord. Continue this process until all beads are used.

Feed the longest cord through the loop on the hook clasp. Slide the hook down and fold the cord back on itself. Grab the ends of all three cords; tie an overhand knot with the hook on the outside end of the knot. Test for fit when wrapped around your wrist three times; adjust the knot’s placement for a looser or tighter bracelet, then pull the knot tight. Trim ends close to the knot.
