Pastry Pie Crust

2 cups all-purpose flour 1 Tbs. sugar 1 tsp. salt 3/4 cup + 2 Tbs. butterflav­ored shortening, chilled 5 Tbs. ice- cold water 1 Tbs. vinegar

l Stir together flour, sugar and salt in large bowl. Cut shortening into pea-sized pieces and work into flour mixture until crumbs form. In separate bowl, mix water and vinegar. Gradually stir water mixture to flour mixture until combined. Shape dough into 2 disks; wrap each in plastic wrap. Refrigerat­e at least 30 minutes.

l For baked crust, preheat oven to 400°F. On lightly floured surface, roll out 1 dough disk to uniform thickness. Place in pie pan trim and flute edge. Bake 8-12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool. Makes enough dough

for 2 (9") pie crusts.
