Golden brown and baked to perfection, this buttery apple custard is the signature dessert of the northwest coast of France! ❑ 4 tsp. butter ❑ 6 apples, peeled, cored, thinly sliced ❑ 2 cups flour ❑ 3/4 cup sugar ❑ Pinch cinnamon ❑ 4 eggs ❑ 4 cups milk Preheat oven to 400°F. Grease 2- qt. baking dish with 4 tsp. butter. Place apples in dish. In bowl, mix flour, sugar and cinnamon; stir in eggs one at a time. Slowly stir in milk until blended. Pour batter over apples. Bake 50-55 minutes or until set in center. Serves 8-10.
