Was my face red!

After church one Sunday, I grabbed my wallet and keys and headed for the door when I realized I’d forgotten my sunglasses. The couple in the pew beside me was still gathering their things when I got back to my seat, so I asked them if they’d accidentally grabbed them. The wife smiled and said, “Do you mean the ones in your hands?” Turns out, I’d been carrying them the whole time! Boy, was my face red! — E.H., Hanson, MA
