“ANGELS, HELP!”

The 2 words that saved Annette’s family

-

One day, when my daughter was 14, I had to take her for a post-surgery checkup in Charlottesville. My 10-yearold son came along for the ride.

Thankfully, my daughter got a clean bill of health, but the tests had taken several hours, and we were exhausted.

With a two-hour drive ahead of us, I decided we should grab some lunch before hitting the road, hoping some food would refresh me. Afterward, as we climbed back into the car, I prayed for God to surround us with his angels.

By the time we hit the highway, both kids had fallen asleep. The radio had been helping me stay awake, but I turned down the volume so it wouldn’t wake them up.

About halfway home, I became so sleepy that I dozed off for a second or two and awoke with a start to see that I’d drifted dangerously close to a tractor-trailer in the lane beside me. I could smell the strong diesel fumes and actually felt my car being pushed off the roadway.

Shocked and terrified, I shouted, “Angels, help!”

Suddenly, a quiet peace washed over me, and the next thing I knew, my car was in front of the truck. I glanced in my rearview mirror, and the semi-truck was traveling a safe distance behind me. I had no idea how they had managed this feat, but I knew,

without a doubt,

that the angels had saved us from what might have

been a deadly collision. With tears running down my cheeks, I took the next exit and stopped at a diner and had a cup of coffee.

By now, my daughter was awake and asking what had happened. I calmly assured her that everything was fine and told her to go back to sleep. Normally, under such circumstances, I would have fallen apart, but I still felt my guardian angel’s presence. The feeling of peace remained with me all the way home.

I am now 63, and my children are grown with kids of their own. But I still remember that day so vividly, and I give thanks to God for sending angels to save my family.

“Whenever we are in a dangerous situation, our angels draw close to keep watch and protect us,” says angel expert Kyle Gray. “And as Annette discovered, they will do whatever it takes— even manipulate time— to keep us safe.

“The angels respect our free will and our ability to make our own life’s decisions. But when Annette shouted, ‘Angels help!’ she gave them permission to swoop down like a fl ash of light and offer her the divine assistance she needed. What a miracle! And all she had to do was simply ask.”
