Tomato-basil Crostini

Give traditiona­l bruschetta a delicious upgrade—it’s easy when you start with garlic toasts and add a layer of creamy hummus!

12 (1/2"thick) slices crusty French bread Olive oil cooking spray 1 clove garlic, peeled 3/4 cup hummus 12 fresh basil leaves 24 slices red and/or yellow plum tomatoes Salt and freshly ground pepper, optional 2 Tbs. thinly sliced fresh basil leaves

Preheat oven to 350°F. Coat each side of bread slices with olive oil spray. Place slices on baking sheet. Bake, turning once, until toasted, 3- 4 minutes per side. Rub one side of each toast with garlic; let cool.

Spread each toast with 1 Tbs. hummus. Top each toast with 1 basil leaf, then 2 tomato slices. If desired, sprinkle with salt and pepper. Garnish with sliced basil.
