A study at the U.K.’S Manch­ester Metropoli­tan Univer­sity found that sim­ply do­ing this “eye glide” sharp­ened re­call by as much as 25%. Turns out, hor­i­zon­tal eye move­ments help the two hemi­spheres of your brain in­ter­act more ef­fi­ciently, su­per­charg­ing your abil­ity to re­mem­ber any­thing from some­one’s name to where you put those pesky keys.
