Whisk in 2 cups each heavy cream and milk, 1 cup each brandy and dark rum and 1 Tbs. vanilla; pour into punch bowl. In sep­a­rate bowl, whip egg whites with mixer for 2 min. Grad­u­ally add 1⁄ 2 cup sugar; mix un­til meringue is formed. Fold into cream mix­ture; sprin­kle with nut­meg. Makes 2 quarts
