Elisabeth Hasselbeck shares her story of faith, grace and family
Emmy award–winning television personality and former co-host of The View and Fox & Friends, Elisabeth Hasselbeck is known best for her bright smile, big personality and strong convictions. But when she was let go from The View after a decade on-air, her shine was dimmed by the shadow of self-doubt and uncertainty. Here, Elisabeth shares how faith, grace and family brought her back to the light
One look at Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s résumé and it’s clear the upbeat blonde has had quite a life. The Rhode Island native has been a designer, a contestant on Survivor, a popular talk-show co-host on the The View and then a co-host of Fox & Friends.
But for the 41-year-old wife and mother of three, her varied career has proven that life is full of unexpected blessings. “I see a familiar theme in all my experiences,” she shares with Woman’s World. “Just when I think I’m somewhere for one reason, God reminds me that it’s all part of His plan. These opportunities were His invitations, and even if I took a left turn when He wanted me to take a right, He was always there guiding me back on course.”
Elisabeth’s faith has sustained her throughout her life, including during the tough season after she was replaced on The View. “The thing I would have done anything to keep was taken away from me,” she describes. “But the lesson I learned was that I was holding on to it too tightly. And God used that disappointment to work miracles in my heart.”
Though Elisabeth went on to cohost Fox & Friends, in 2015, she decided to leave show business to focus on her family. Today she lives in Nashville, Tennessee, with her three children and husband, Tim, and has just released her first memoir. “Telling my story has helped me grow so much,” she smiles. Here, Elisabeth’s tips for finding strength in every season.
