Be amazed!

Take time to marvel at the wonders of the universe by gazing at the stars. Jason Kendall of the Amateur Astronomers Association of New York offers this advice: “Make sure you’re away from security lights, street lights, car lights and porch lights. In a truly dark place, some of the wonders, like the Milky Way, can be seen without a telescope.” Since white and blue light emitted by a flashlight or phone hinders your eyes’ ability to adapt to dark, he suggests taping a sheet of red paper over a flashlight to help you navigate to your viewing spot.
